Students Building Community is a continued partnership between the Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity and Greater Cedar Rapids Housing & Building Association. The new program aims to develop future construction professionals by giving high school students an opportunity to experience a variety of trades and connect to housing & building professionals. For the 2022-2023 school year, local juniors and seniors received hands-on experience building a Habitat house from start to finish. The students were also provided high school internship credits through Kirkwood Workplace Learning Connection.
